PMEGP Overview

– Implemented by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) at the national level. – State-level execution through KVIC Directorates, Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIBs), DICs, and banks.

Financial Assistance Details

– Maximum project cost: ₹25 lakhs (manufacturing), ₹10 lakhs (business/service). – Subsidies vary by location and beneficiary category. – Banks cover the remaining project cost through term loans and working capital.

Eligibility Criteria

– Individuals above 18 years can apply. – Education requirement: At least eighth grade. – New projects considered; existing units under other schemes ineligible. – Eligible entities: Self Help Groups, institutions under Societies Registration Act, Co-operative Societies, Charitable Trusts.

– Apply through local advertisements issued by State/Divisional Directors of KVIC. – Online application at https://www.kviconline.gov.in/pmegpeportal/pmegphome/index.jsp. – Submit printed application, Detailed Project Report, and required documents to respective offices.
